“Your” Chapter Electronic Press Kit

The chapter electronic press kit is a tool you can use to help you get the word out about occupational safety, health and the environment (SH&E) and the profession. This kit includes: 10 press releases on the most current SH&E topics, the ASSE fact sheet, three educational brochures (young worker safety, HAZMAT and transportation safety- & are free), a ‘Safety Through The Decades’ poster, a teen safety-on-the-job PowerPoint and your ASSE public relations contacts.

Please feel free to distribute the press releases to your local media by personalizing it by adding your contact information and changing the city/state and date on the news release to yours. We will continuously update the press releases to offer you the latest information and topics of interest in the SH&E industry. The other kit components can also be sent to the local media or distributed throughout your community for educational purposes.

Should you have any questions or would like to request a print chapter media guide, contact Diane Hurns at 847-768-3413, dhurns@asse.org, or Lindsay Stuart at 847-768-3404, lstuart@asse.org.

Press Releases

Press releases are current news items that can be tailored to your local area and forwarded to your local media. If there are SH&E issues that are relevant in your area and important to you, press releases can help you to get the word out to your community. In order to use these press releases for your local media, put your chapter name, president or chapter PR chair’s name, phone number and e-mail address in the contact area. In addition, change the city and state from Des Plaines, IL to your local city and state. Make sure the date is correct. It is mandatory that ASSE’s contact information (Des Plaines address, customer service phone number, fax number, and web address) stays on the bottom of the release.

ASSE Fact Sheet

The ASSE fact sheet offers an overview of ASSE, who we are, what we do and how we serve our members.

ASSE Brochures and Additional Tools

The brochures, ‘Safety Through the Decades’ poster and teen safety-on-the-job PowerPoint are reference tools that serve as additional information on important SH&E topics that you can share with the media.
